In 2024, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission revealed that major wine retailers were exploiting the very winemakers whose products they stocked.
Forced to deliver more wine for less money, Australian winemakers were suffering.
So Naked Wines - a subscription model that cuts out big retailers and gives their independent growers better rates and their drinkers better wine - set out to remind the big guys (and the public) that ideal conditions for great wine should go beyond just soil and sun, and include the conditions of their winemakers too.
Tactical out of home caused a stir outside of retailers.
